Country Director Yemen

About the role

The Country Director leads ZOA’s Yemen office, overseeing strategy, programmes, people and resources to deliver life‑saving and resilience‑building interventions in a complex humanitarian environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement ZOA Yemen’s Strategic Plan and Country Annual Plan aligned with global strategies.
• Lead and supervise the Country Management Team, fostering a values‑driven culture.
• Ensure programme quality, results and impact with strong gender, diversity and inclusion focus.
• Manage human resources, finance, administration and compliance, including security management.
• Represent ZOA externally, building relationships with donors, authorities and partners.

Required profile

• Strategic, values‑driven leader with strong organisational sensitivity.
• Ability to operate effectively in insecure, complex environments.
• Proven networking and relationship‑building skills.
• Alignment with ZOA’s Christian values and mission.

Required skills

• Integrated management of programmes, finance, HR and operations.
• Donor relations and external representation experience.
• Excellent written and spoken English; Arabic a plus.
