Cleaner – Office & Guestroom Maintenance

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Cleaner to maintain a clean and sanitary environment in our office and guest house facilities in Turbah, Yemen. The role involves daily cleaning tasks, ensuring all areas are presentable for staff and guests, and supporting the overall hygiene standards of the Danish Refugee Council premises.

Key responsibilities

• Perform floor care including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and polishing across offices, guest rooms, hallways, stairwells and reception areas.
• Clean and disinfect surfaces such as windows, countertops, light fittings, ceiling vents and spot‑clean carpets.
• Maintain guest rooms: change linens, make beds, dust furnishings, clean mirrors and windows, and remove cobwebs.
• Clean kitchen areas, bathrooms and common facilities, empty trash and ensure supplies are stocked.
• Inspect completed work, report any deficiencies and liaise with the supervisor for necessary repairs or supplies.
• Coordinate with other cleaners to ensure consistent standards throughout the premises.
