About the role
The CCCM/Shelter Manager will lead technical planning, implementation and coordination of camp management and shelter projects for the Danish Refugee Council in South Yemen (Lahj and West Coast). Reporting to the Area Programme Manager, the role ensures effective camp governance, beneficiary participation and compliance with humanitarian standards.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, implement and monitor CCCM and shelter activities in line with DRC SOPs and donor requirements.
- Supervise a team of national staff, casuals and incentive workers, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
- Establish and maintain camp governance structures, facilitating communication with camp populations and local authorities.
- Oversee shelter and WASH interventions, data collection, site monitoring and gap‑filling actions.
- Coordinate with sector managers and external partners to strengthen service delivery in IDP camps.
Required profile
- Proven experience in camp management, shelter construction or related humanitarian programmes.
- Strong ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in challenging environments.
- Excellent coordination and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Knowledge of humanitarian principles, donor compliance and minimum standards.
