Technical Assistant – ICLA Programme (Yemen, Hodeidah)

About the role

The ICLA Technical Assistant supports the implementation of the Norwegian Refugee Council’s ICLA programme in Hodeidah, Yemen, ensuring safe, inclusive and accountable protection practices at the field level.

Key responsibilities

• Implement ICLA project activities in line with approved proposals, donor requirements and NRC policies.
• Conduct regular field visits, monitor project cycles, verify completion and support evaluation.
• Provide advice and information to beneficiaries, deliver awareness sessions and manage capacity‑building programmes on ICLA thematic areas.
• Develop and maintain case management systems and databases of beneficiaries.
• Deliver direct individual assistance, protection monitoring and community‑based support.
• Participate in needs assessments, focus groups, surveys and produce quantitative and qualitative reports.
• Support strategic review, monitoring and evaluation of all activities.

Required profile

• University degree in law, social studies, development studies or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years experience with an NGO or international organization in protection or human‑rights work, preferably in Yemen.
• Experience working in complex, volatile humanitarian contexts.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
