About the role
The Logistic Officer will provide comprehensive logistics support for Save the Children’s Yemen programme, covering fleet, warehouse, asset and general logistics functions across all field offices in Taiz. The role ensures compliance with SCI policies, donor regulations and best practices while delivering timely logistics reports.
Key responsibilities
- Manage centralized vehicle fleet, ensuring safe use, proper allocation, maintenance, servicing and monthly billing reconciliation.
- Update the Fleet ProSave system with data from all field offices and oversee cost‑effective freight transport (land and air).
- Coordinate centralized warehouse activities for general and medical supplies, using the Total Inventory Management (TIM) system for reporting and inventory tracking.
- Maintain compliance with internal warehousing procedures and donor regulations, ensuring audit trails, safety, security and FIFO/FEFO stock rotation.
- Support the pharmacist in medical storage and distribution.
- Compile and submit monthly logistics reports (fleet, warehouse, asset register) to the Head of Supply Chain.
- Act as the field office focal point for the TIM system and ensure timely data entry.
Required profile
- Proven experience in logistics, fleet and warehouse management within an NGO or humanitarian context.
- Strong knowledge of donor regulations and compliance requirements.
- Ability to produce accurate logistics and asset reports.
- Familiarity with logistics information systems and data reconciliation.
