Nutritionist – Economic Security Unit

About the role

The International Committee of the Red Cross is seeking a Nutritionist to support the Economic Security (EcoSec) Unit’s nutrition programmes in Yemen. Working under senior nutrition staff, the role involves planning, implementing and monitoring nutrition activities that align with the country strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Design, plan and carry out nutrition assessments using recognised methods and rapid tools.
• Collect data with appropriate data‑collection tools and devices.
• Enter and maintain data in survey databases and the EcoSec Programme Management Tool (EPMT).
• Perform basic qualitative and quantitative analysis and produce visualisations of results.
• Provide nutrition input for food‑system analyses and contribute to SWOT assessments.
• Help design and implement activities to improve beneficiaries’ food consumption and nutritional status, including in detention settings.
• Support monitoring, evaluation and internal reporting of nutrition activities.
• Translate documents for internal use and assist with capacity‑building initiatives.

Required profile

• Yemeni nationality.
• Ability to work under supervision of senior nutrition staff.
• Experience in conducting nutrition assessments and data collection.
• Proficiency in managing survey databases and the EcoSec Programme Management Tool (EPMT).
• Basic skills in qualitative and quantitative data analysis and data visualisation.
