Yemen WaSH Consortium Coordinator

About the role

The Yemen WaSH Consortium Coordinator will lead the Consortium Management Unit and serve as secretariat for the Consortium Steering Committee, ensuring strategic alignment and effective coordination among Oxfam, NRC and YFCA partners. The role is central to delivering the ECHO HIP 2026 project and other funding streams, improving safe water, sanitation and hygiene services for conflict‑affected communities in Yemen.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Consortium Management Unit and act as secretariat for the Consortium Steering Committee.
• Ensure strategic alignment of consortium activities with donor requirements and Oxfam’s programme objectives.
• Coordinate implementation of integrated WASH interventions across eight districts in Hajjah, Al Hudaydah, Ibb and Marib.
• Oversee budget management, financial reporting and compliance for the consortium.
• Supervise and support staff reporting to the post, including Health and Nutrition Specialist, MEAL Coordinator and Finance Assistant.
• Facilitate regular partner meetings, produce minutes, track actions and monitor progress against deliverables.
• Represent the consortium to external stakeholders, donors and government authorities.

Required profile

• Extensive experience managing multi‑partner WASH programmes in humanitarian or conflict‑affected settings.
• Proven ability to lead a consortium, coordinate diverse partners and deliver donor‑funded projects.
• Strong understanding of the humanitarian context in Yemen and of climate‑resilient WASH interventions.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills, with experience presenting to senior management and steering committees.
