Risk and Compliance Coordinator

About the role

The Risk and Compliance Coordinator will work country‑wide for DRC Yemen, strengthening risk management, compliance oversight and audit readiness. Reporting to the Country Director, the role supports senior management in identifying, assessing, monitoring and mitigating operational and institutional risks.

Key responsibilities

• Support the rollout and implementation of DRC’s Risk Management Framework in coordination with HQ and senior management.
• Maintain and update the country risk matrix, ensuring systematic identification, assessment and mitigation of risks.
• Deliver training and guidance to staff on risk management tools, reporting processes and the COCRM system.
• Coordinate risk meetings, prepare risk updates, track mitigation actions and follow up with responsible departments.
• Oversee compliance reviews, audit follow‑up, Code of Conduct reporting and implementation of corrective actions.
• Lead capacity‑building initiatives on internal controls, fraud awareness and accountability commitments.

Required profile

• Proven experience in risk management, compliance or internal audit within an international or humanitarian context.
• Ability to work closely with senior managers, area managers and department heads.
• Strong analytical skills and capacity to translate risk findings into practical recommendations.
• Excellent communication skills for training and reporting across the organization.
