Pharmacy Storekeeper – Backup Pool

About the role

The Pharmacy Storekeeper (Backup) supports pharmacy and medical warehouse operations at Ad Dahi Hospital, ensuring that medicines and medical supplies are stored safely, remain above minimum stock levels, and are kept under the required temperature and humidity conditions. The role works under the supervision of the Medical Warehouse/Pharmacy Supervisor and collaborates closely with the logistics team.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise material orders and dispatches to promote rational use of supplies.
• Receive deliveries, verify against cargo manifests, report discrepancies, and store items according to established procedures.
• Maintain proper storage conditions, monitor temperature, and ensure cold‑chain compliance for temperature‑sensitive products.
• Update stock cards and inventory software accurately and participate in regular inventories, including EPREP stock.
• Track stock levels, expiry dates, and alert thresholds; prepare orders for wards and other consumption units.
• Ensure warehouse cleanliness, maintain refrigeration equipment, and control access to authorized personnel only.
• Identify and isolate quarantined or recalled items, securing them safely.
• Prepare and submit stock reports to the Pharmacy Supervisor.

Required profile

• Experience in handling pharmacy or medical warehouse stock, including receiving, storing, and dispatching supplies.
• Ability to detect and report discrepancies in deliveries and stock records.
• Attention to temperature monitoring and cold‑chain protocols.
• Strong organisational skills to manage inventory, expiry dates, and alert thresholds.
• Willingness to work closely with logistics and pharmacy teams in a humanitarian setting.
