Logistics and Procurement Assistant

About the role

The Logistics and Procurement Assistant will support Relief International’s operations in Marib and Shabwah by managing the full procurement cycle, ensuring compliance with organisational policies, and overseeing logistics and asset management at field sites.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure full understanding and adherence to all Relief International procurement policies and procedures.
• Act as the buyer for the organization, processing procurement requests from receipt to payment.
• Track, follow up, and record all procurements and contracts for program and support operations.
• Manage leasing and logistics activities in the Marib and Shabwah field offices.
• Provide input to staff on procurement planning and advise on completing procurement request forms.
• Draft RFQs, collect vendor responses, prepare cost‑benefit analyses, arrange committee meetings, and document decisions.
• Assist with asset management and general office administration as needed.

Required profile

• Yemeni national (position open to nationals only).
• Experience in procurement and logistics within humanitarian or development settings.
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time between Marib and Shabwah.
• Strong knowledge of procurement policies, transparent and accountable processes, and cost‑effective sourcing.
