Information Management Assistant – Yemen (Aden)

About the role

The Information Management Assistant supports NRC’s South Area programmes in Yemen by ensuring accurate, timely, and secure data flows from field activities to country‑level systems. Working under the MEAL Coordinator, the role provides cross‑cutting support to all core competencies.

Key responsibilities

• Collect field‑level data using NRC‑approved digital (KoboToolbox/ODK) and paper tools.
• Enter, clean, code, validate, and archive data; conduct routine quality checks for completeness and consistency.
• Update and maintain databases and trackers, supporting programme teams in day‑to‑day data management.
• Assist with beneficiary registration and verification, outcome monitoring, and spot checks.
• Prepare basic analysis, tables, charts, and status reports for GORS reporting.
• Troubleshoot digital devices and applications, escalating complex issues to technical focal points.
• Ensure confidential handling of sensitive data in line with NRC policies.

Required profile

• Ability to work under supervision of the MEAL Coordinator and receive technical guidance from the Information Management Officer.
• Cross‑cutting support mindset for all NRC Core Competencies and grants.
• Experience collaborating with programme teams, enumerators, casual workers, and partner staff.

Required skills

• Proficiency with digital data collection tools such as KoboToolbox and ODK.
• Data entry, cleaning, coding, and validation.
• Basic data analysis and report preparation.
• Database and tracker maintenance.
• Basic troubleshooting of digital devices and applications.
