ICT Assistant – Aden Office

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Assistant to support its Aden office. The role focuses on delivering end‑user ICT services, maintaining network and system efficiency, and contributing to the overall productivity of the mission.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 end‑user support and ensure incidents are resolved within agreed service level agreements.
• Open, update, and close tickets in the helpdesk ticketing system, documenting all actions taken.
• Diagnose immediate issues, propose workarounds, and assist in root‑cause analysis.
• Escalate complex problems to Tier 2 or the Regional ICT Officer according to priority.
• Collaborate with the ICT Associate, ICT Officer, and Regional ICT Officer to maintain IT networks and systems.

Required profile

• Internal or external candidates with a commitment to IOM’s inclusive and respectful workplace.
• Ability to work under the direct supervision of the ICT Associate and in coordination with central ICT units.
• Strong communication skills to interact with diverse staff and partners.

Required skills

• Proficiency in using a helpdesk ticketing system for incident management.
