Finance Coordinator – Budgeting & Reporting (Aden)

About the role

Save the Children International is seeking a Finance Coordinator responsible for budgeting and reporting for its country office in Aden. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, master budgeting, donor compliance and supports audit activities within a humanitarian context.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, annual and final financial reports to donors and members, incorporating feedback and addressing comments.
• Attend regular donor calls, provide status updates on awards, and produce end‑of‑year special reports for donors such as NORAD and SIDA.
• Develop monthly phasing, forecasts and spending analysis for personnel and office costs, and share KPI‑based spending forecasts with business heads.
• Participate in award opening, kick‑off, pre‑closeout, closeout and post‑closeout meetings for the Yemen country office.
• Support proposal budgeting, budget revisions and coordinate with program, HR and award teams.
• Contribute to monitoring country office spending against key performance indicators and ensure compliance with Save the Children policies.
• Assist with audit preparation and provide necessary documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting and donor reporting within an international or humanitarian organization.
• Familiarity with audit processes and financial compliance requirements.
• Ability to work closely with program staff, HR and award management teams.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to undergo rigorous background checks to ensure child‑safety compliance.
