Emergency Response Information Management Officer – Yemen

About the role

The Emergency Response Information Management Officer supports NRC’s Rapid Response Mechanism (RRM) in Yemen, ensuring that data collection, analysis, and reporting are delivered quickly, accurately, and with protection sensitivity during sudden‑onset crises.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and manage RRM digital systems and databases (Kobo Toolbox, Power BI, Excel, ActivityInfo).
• Provide technical troubleshooting, improve dashboards, and ensure compliance with NRC information security and data protection policies.
• Integrate IM tools with MEAL, Community Feedback Mechanisms, and programme tools.
• Build capacity of NRC staff and partners on digital practices.
• Produce situation reports, dashboards, maps, infographics, and analytical briefs for decision‑making.
• Analyse displacement trends, sectoral needs, and response gaps in real time.
• Support mobile data‑collection tool development and field training of enumerators.
• Contribute to lessons learned, after‑action reviews, and continuous improvement of IM processes.

Required profile

• Experience in information management within humanitarian emergency contexts.
• Familiarity with data protection standards and humanitarian principles.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and in insecure environments.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to data quality.
