Economic Recovery Team Leader

About the role

The Economic Recovery Team Leader will manage and technically oversee the Danish Refugee Council’s Economic Recovery portfolio on the West Coast. This includes KFW‑funded women’s economic empowerment, climate‑smart agriculture, vocational and business skills, cash‑plus/MPCA support, financial inclusion and partner‑led implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Economic Recovery field team: work‑plans, staffing, coaching, performance monitoring and capacity building.
• Oversee field implementation of KFW and other Economic Recovery/MPCA activities, ensuring targets, budgets, procurement and reporting deadlines are met.
• Track implementation risks, delays and quality issues and propose corrective actions.
• Coordinate closely with implementing partners and service providers, supporting their work‑plans, supervision and documentation.
• Lead beneficiary identification, verification, registration and prioritisation for livelihoods, cash‑plus and MPCA activities in line with SOPs and protection standards.
• Supervise gender‑sensitive market assessments, community consultations, business/vocational training, climate‑smart agriculture, post‑harvest handling and market linkages.

Required profile

• Proven ability to integrate across core humanitarian sectors such as Protection, CCCM and WASH.
• Experience linking emergency cash assistance with early recovery and livelihoods pathways.
• Strong commitment to gender, protection mainstreaming, AAP, safeguarding and conflict‑sensitive implementation.
