Economic Recovery Coordinator – Technical Advisory Role

About the role

The Economic Recovery Coordinator provides technical leadership and coordination for DRC’s economic recovery programmes in Yemen. The role covers food security, decent livelihoods and financial inclusion, while also delivering cross‑cutting support on cash‑and‑voucher assistance (CVA), market system development and climate‑sensitive natural resource management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the economic recovery strategy and priorities in line with DRC’s mandate and global frameworks.
• Lead the design, harmonisation, training and rollout of SOPs, tools and guidelines, especially for CVA standards in Yemen.
• Provide regular technical guidance to Project Managers, Specialists and field staff, both through structured processes and case‑by‑case support.
• Ensure programme compliance with DRC quality standards and alignment with global strategies.
• Represent DRC in external coordination mechanisms, including the Cash Consortium for Yemen.
• Oversee monitoring, evaluation and learning activities related to economic recovery interventions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in economic recovery, livelihoods or humanitarian finance programmes.
• Strong understanding of cash‑and‑voucher assistance, market systems and climate‑sensitive resource management.
• Ability to lead multi‑disciplinary teams and coordinate with national and international partners.
• Excellent analytical, planning and reporting skills.
