Economic Recovery Assistant

About the role

The Economic Recovery Assistant will support the implementation of KfW and EU‑funded agriculture and economic recovery programmes in Al Turbah, Al Shamayatien and surrounding communities in Taiz, Yemen. Working under the Economic Recovery Officer/Manager, the assistant will help ensure activities are delivered on time, comply with donor requirements and generate measurable outcomes for rural women and vulnerable households.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with beneficiary identification, registration, verification and community mobilisation.
• Support field data collection, market actor mapping and verification of agricultural input suppliers, buyers and service providers.
• Facilitate market and agriculture assessments, literacy/life‑skills and business‑skills training, vocational/technical training and farmer‑group activities.
• Contribute to climate‑smart agriculture, post‑harvest handling/value‑addition, SRFF/VSLA and natural‑resource‑management interventions.
• Provide day‑to‑day follow‑up with implementing partners, track attendance and document outputs.
• Assist the Economic Recovery Officer/Manager in reporting, documentation and escalation of issues according to DRC SOPs and donor guidelines.

Required profile

• Experience supporting field‑level implementation of agriculture or economic recovery projects.
• Ability to work closely with beneficiaries, community representatives and technical partners.
• Familiarity with donor reporting requirements and standard operating procedures.
