Country Director – Yemen

About the role

Première Urgence Internationale is seeking a senior leader to head its mission in Yemen. The Country Director will ensure the safety of staff, oversee programme delivery, manage resources and represent the organization with partners, donors and authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and security of the mission and its personnel.
• Coordinate programme teams, monitor implementation and identify new operational opportunities.
• Oversee human‑resource functions, including staffing, performance management and staff development.
• Monitor logistical, administrative and financial processes to comply with PUI procedures and donor regulations.
• Guarantee that medical and technical activities follow PUI operational frameworks.
• Represent PUI in relations with partners, donors, media and governmental authorities.
• Maintain effective communication and reporting between headquarters and the field.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or equivalent in humanitarian action, project management, a technical sector, HR or finance.
• Minimum three years of experience with international NGOs in project coordination or mission management.
• Proven ability to lead multicultural teams and manage complex operations in challenging environments.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience dealing with authorities and UN agencies.
