CO Finance Coordinator (Treasury and Accounting)

About the role

The CO Finance Coordinator (Treasury) supports the Director of Finance in managing the financial management system, accounting, treasury, and payroll functions for Save the Children in Yemen. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, cash management, and compliance with organisational policies.

Key responsibilities

• Process monthly payroll, prepare salary transfer letters and verify staff entitlement documents.
• Maintain control accounts, reconcile debtor and creditor balances, and ensure a zero balance before month‑end close.
• Monitor cash balance KPI, keeping end‑of‑month cash below $100,000.
• Prepare and circulate the Monthly Financial Report, addressing any queries from the Global Team.
• Correct coding errors in posted transactions and update staff on new SOFs and DRCs via the Data Validation GLOSS sheet.
• Coordinate with the tax authority on income‑tax filings and submit audited financial statements.
• Respond to finance‑related queries from the Regional Office and the Centre.

Required profile

• Experience in financial accounting, treasury, and payroll within a complex, multi‑member environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict month‑end deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with internal and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• Agresso (financial management system) proficiency.
• Payroll processing and salary disbursement.
• Financial reporting and preparation of monthly financial statements.
• Cash management and KPI monitoring.
• Account reconciliation (debtor and creditor).
