Advocacy Coordinator – Humanitarian Programs

About the role

The Advocacy Coordinator will support the Danish Refugee Council’s (DRC) humanitarian programmes in Yemen by leading advocacy initiatives that influence policy, protect vulnerable populations and promote durable solutions. Working closely with the Cash Consortium of Yemen and DRC field offices, the coordinator will ensure that advocacy efforts are evidence‑based and aligned with DRC’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and monitor advocacy strategies targeting government, donors and local stakeholders.
• Coordinate with the Cash Consortium of Yemen partners to integrate cash‑based assistance insights into advocacy messages.
• Prepare policy briefs, position papers and advocacy materials that reflect field realities.
• Facilitate multi‑partner advocacy meetings, workshops and campaigns.
• Track and report on advocacy outcomes, ensuring compliance with DRC’s value compass.

Required profile

• University degree in International Relations, Development Studies, Human Rights or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in advocacy, policy analysis or humanitarian programming.
• Demonstrated understanding of the Yemeni context and displacement dynamics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
