Advocacy, Communications & Campaigns Director – Aden

About the role

Save the Children International is seeking an experienced leader to head Advocacy, Communications and Campaigns for its Yemen Country Office. Reporting to the Country Director, the Director will shape and deliver the external and internal advocacy agenda, raise international visibility of the humanitarian crisis, and support programmatic priorities such as Child Protection, Health, Nutrition, Food Security and Education.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the advocacy strategy as a Category 1 response, aligning with priority program areas.
• Lead public and private advocacy, campaigning and communications on the humanitarian situation and longer‑term development work.
• Support senior management in risk mapping, mitigation, policy analysis and strategic planning.
• Oversee the Advocacy, Campaigns, and Civil Society Engagement Coordinator, Analysis and Reporting Coordinator, and Communications Coordinator.
• Ensure humanitarian access, increase donor interest, and promote protection of children from grave violations.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with proven leadership in advocacy, communications or campaigns within humanitarian or development contexts.
• Demonstrated ability to work flexible hours and adapt to emergency environments.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and coordinating with senior management.
