Water & Environmental Sanitation Consultant (12‑month contract)

About the role

The Human Access Taiz Governorate Branch is seeking a qualified Water and Environmental Sanitation Consultant to support a 12‑month project aimed at improving basic services for vulnerable communities in Al‑Mudhaffar, Al‑Qahirah and Broom Mayfa’. The consultant will provide technical supervision and ensure the successful implementation of water points, sanitation facilities and related infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and develop bills of quantities, cost estimates, and engineering drawings for public water points and toilets.
• Prepare tender documents and participate in technical committees that open and assess bids.
• Supervise field works, verify compliance with specifications, and monitor daily material supplies.
• Coordinate hand‑over of works to contractors and track contractor payments.
• Review and report on additional works, progress, and completed works in collaboration with project coordinators.
• Maintain electronic and physical archives of all project documents and protect project assets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum five years of consulting experience, including at least three years on water and environmental sanitation projects.
• Proven experience in tender preparation, field supervision, and contractor management.
