Psychosocial Support Assistant (2 positions) – Al-Dhalea, Taiz

About the role

The Psychosocial Support Assistant will join the psychosocial support team to deliver field‑based mental health and well‑being services to internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Al‑Dhalea, Taiz. Working under the guidance of specialists, the assistant will help ensure high‑quality, timely support for beneficiaries.

Key responsibilities

• Assist specialists in conducting individual and group interviews and sessions.
• Document case information and follow‑up using approved forms.
• Support the design and delivery of mental‑health awareness and education activities.
• Prepare daily and monthly activity reports.
• Coordinate referrals for critical cases with the team.
• Participate in meetings, trainings, and debriefings.
• Adhere to the organization’s code of conduct and working hours.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in psychosocial support or social work.
• Good level of English proficiency.
• Physically fit, presentable, and able to work under pressure.
• No prior convictions related to exploitation, abuse, fraud, or corruption.

Required skills

• Proficiency in computer use.
• Data entry and archiving skills.
