Project Management Support – Senior Officer

About the role

The Senior Officer provides operational and administrative support to the Project Manager of the Programme for Emergency Recovery in Palestine, a JICA‑funded initiative delivering essential water, health, solid waste and energy supplies to Gaza and the West Bank. The role ensures project delivery within agreed scope, time, cost and quality parameters.

Key responsibilities

• Support implementation, coordination and monitoring of project activities.
• Provide analytical and operational assistance in project planning, execution and reporting.
• Contribute to risk and performance management processes.
• Maintain timely communication with partners, donors and stakeholders.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with project tolerances for time, cost, quality, scope, risk and benefits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with at least 2 years.
• Proven experience in project management and procurement‑related projects.
• Demonstrated proficiency with collaboration and productivity tools such as MS Office, G‑Suite and web‑based management systems.
• Experience in the Middle East, conflict‑affected settings, or with JICA‑funded projects is desirable.
• Experience working in multicultural or UN system environments and in development/humanitarian contexts is a plus.
