Partnerships Officer

About the role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a Partnerships Officer to support its humanitarian programmes in Yemen. Reporting to the Partnership Lead, the officer will help manage and strengthen relationships with local partners, including women‑led and women‑focused organisations, ensuring alignment with IRC’s PEERS (Partnership Excellence for Equality and Results System) principles.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Partnership Lead in overseeing active sub‑awards and partnership agreements across multiple governorates in Yemen.
• Engage with local NGOs, women‑led groups and other stakeholders to ensure equitable, complementary and results‑oriented collaborations.
• Coordinate with technical and operational teams to develop and implement partner project support plans.
• Collect, analyse and report on partner performance data, contributing to continuous improvement of partnership processes.
• Promote the PEERS values of equality, mutuality, solidarity and humility in all partner interactions.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience working with NGOs or humanitarian partners in conflict‑affected settings.
• Strong understanding of gender‑responsive programming and women‑led organisations.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and navigate complex partnership cycles.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills, with attention to detail.

Required skills

• Knowledge of partnership management frameworks, preferably PEERS or similar humanitarian standards.
• Familiarity with sub‑award monitoring and reporting processes.
