GlobalGiving Crowdfunding Specialist & Donor Relations (Volunteer)

About the role

Green Empowerment NGO* is seeking a motivated volunteer to manage its GlobalGiving account, design compelling crowdfunding campaigns, and nurture donor relationships. This remote position supports environmental and agricultural training initiatives in Yemen.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and optimize the GlobalGiving dashboard, ensuring project pages are active and engaging.
• Plan and execute digital fundraising campaigns, leveraging matching days, bonus funds, and special initiatives.
• Draft and send timely project reports and personalized thank‑you messages to donors.
• Identify new digital fundraising avenues and craft persuasive project appeals.

Required profile

• Proven hands‑on experience managing campaigns on GlobalGiving or similar major crowdfunding platforms.
• Excellent written English communication with strong storytelling ability.
• Understanding of donor retention strategies and resource mobilization in the nonprofit sector.
• Self‑starter capable of working independently in a remote environment.
• Passion for environmental sustainability and community empowerment.
