Finance Specialist – Yemen Displacement Response

About the role

The Finance Specialist supports the Yemen Displacement Response (YDR) Consortium by delivering high‑quality financial management and technical assistance. Working closely with the Consortium Management Unit, the role ensures sound budgeting, donor compliance, and accurate financial reporting across multi‑sectoral projects in Yemen.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development, review, consolidation and revision of consortium project budgets in line with donor and DRC requirements.
• Provide technical financial leadership during proposal development, including cost analysis and donor compliance guidance.
• Monitor project expenditures against approved budgets, analyse burn rates, identify financial risks and recommend corrective actions.
• Oversee budget revisions, reallocations and realignments as project needs evolve.
• Prepare regular financial reports for consortium partners and donors, ensuring transparency and accuracy.
• Support day‑to‑day financial operations of the consortium, maintaining strong internal controls.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related field.
• Proven experience in financial management within humanitarian or development contexts.
• Strong understanding of donor regulations and compliance procedures.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple partners and stakeholders.
