Vaccine and Cold Chain Management Trainer

About the role

The United Nations‑partnered project in Yemen seeks a Trainer to strengthen vaccine and cold‑chain capacity at national and governorate health storage warehouses. The role focuses on delivering practical training on cold‑chain management, maintenance, and vaccine logistics to support the Expanded Programme on Immunisation (EPI) and COVID‑19 vaccine distribution.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver training sessions on cold‑chain management, equipment maintenance and vaccine logistics for warehouse staff.
• Conduct technical assessments of storage facilities and recommend improvements.
• Support rehabilitation works, including infrastructure upgrades and equipment procurement.
• Engage with stakeholders such as UNICEF, WHO and the Ministry of Public Health and Population to ensure alignment with project objectives.
• Participate in third‑party monitoring and reporting on training outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in cold‑chain management and training within the health sector.
• Familiarity with vaccine supply‑chain processes and the Expanded Programme on Immunisation (EPI).
• Ability to work collaboratively with UN agencies and local health authorities.
