Project Officer – Food Security & Livelihoods

About the role

The Project Officer will monitor project activities, ensure they follow the approved plan and timeline, and guarantee compliance with the commitments outlined in proposals and agreements. The role also includes preparing regular progress and achievement reports for the direct manager.

Key responsibilities

• Plan all phases of the project, organize resources, and prioritize implementation according to the work plan.
• Coordinate with local authorities, community groups, and committees, and handle follow‑up procedures and correspondence.
• Supervise implementation of activities, oversee beneficiary selection, and monitor procurement and delivery processes.
• Review procurement plans, submit purchase requests, and ensure documentation of reports and supporting documents.
• Evaluate field staff performance, compile progress reports, and ensure timely completion of tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum three years of relevant experience in project management within the humanitarian sector.

Required skills

• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Microsoft Office suite.
