MEAL/HIM Officer – National (Shabwah)

About the role

The MEAL/HIM Officer will support the implementation of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) activities and Health Information Management for the PRO project in Shabwah. Reporting to the PRO MEAL Coordinator, the officer will ensure accurate data collection, analysis and reporting across health, nutrition and related sectors while maintaining high‑quality data management practices.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, compile and analyse health data, maintain the Indicator Performance Tracking Table (IPTT) and ensure timely, accurate reporting.
• Conduct data cleaning, quality control, and produce visual reports to support program learning.
• Maintain digital and physical data archives securely, including data backups and data warehouse administration.
• Support the design, validation and implementation of data collection tools and processes.
• Implement and monitor the Feedback and Complaint Response Mechanism (FCRM), documenting and following up on feedback.
• Conduct field visits to health facilities and distribution sites to monitor activities and raise awareness of project services and FCRM.
• Provide training and technical assistance to health facility workers and field staff on data collection and reporting.
• Coordinate with field teams, health facility staff and community representatives to strengthen data collection systems and resolve operational challenges.
