MEAL Assistant – Shabwa

About the role

The MEAL Assistant will support the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) team on the SEAL World Bank‑funded project in Shabwa. The role involves piloting, testing and implementing monitoring and accountability activities to ensure quality delivery and beneficiary safety.

Key responsibilities

• Implement monitoring checklists, translate tools when needed, and conduct regular field visits to assess project quality and report findings.
• Support data collection, analysis, and verification against performance indicators, maintaining monitoring‑action plan trackers.
• Assist in formative and operational evaluations, profile studies, and develop complaint/feedback handling mechanisms.
• Produce monthly, quarterly and annual MEAL reports and ensure timely updates of the FRM database.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Statistics, Information Management, Education or a related field.
• Minimum three years of progressive experience in monitoring and evaluation, with proven ability to write clear assessment reports.
• Experience in community participation, accountability systems, and capacity‑building training.

Required skills

• Strong computer skills, including MS Office applications.
• Proficiency with KoboToolbox for data collection.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).
