Electrical Engineering Team Lead

About the role

Our client is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineering Team Lead to head a group of engineers delivering complex infrastructure and energy projects. The role combines technical oversight with people management, ensuring high‑quality engineering output while supporting project delivery, commissioning and operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of electrical engineers, conducting performance reviews and planning professional growth.
• Manage team capacity, workload and resource allocation across multiple projects, monitoring bottlenecks and delivery risks.
• Ensure engineering deliverables meet technical, safety and quality standards and comply with relevant regulations.
• Identify process inefficiencies, drive improvements and standardise tools and methods.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, commissioning and operations teams to align engineering activities with project timelines.
• Report on team performance, risks and capacity to senior management and support decision‑making.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Building Services Engineering or related discipline.
• 10‑12+ years of electrical engineering experience, including 3‑5+ years in a leadership or people‑management role.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in infrastructure, energy or industrial environments.
• Strong organisational skills with the capacity to oversee multiple activities simultaneously.
• Proactive problem‑solver comfortable bridging operational delivery and strategic improvement.
