Economic Recovery Officer

About the role

The Economic Recovery Officer will support the implementation of livelihoods and economic recovery programmes in Hodeida Governorate, Yemen. Working under the Economic Recovery Manager, the officer will ensure that interventions are delivered on time, within budget and to high quality standards, while fostering beneficiary self‑reliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day field activities, including beneficiary registration, verification and training.
• Review business plans for feasibility and cost‑effectiveness.
• Oversee grant utilisation, monitor supported businesses and facilitate access to markets, suppliers and financial services.
• Provide technical guidance to implementing partners and ensure compliance with DRC and donor requirements.
• Coordinate community engagement, partner meetings and documentation for reporting.

Required profile

• Experience in humanitarian or development programmes focused on livelihoods or economic recovery.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to assess business proposals.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities with partners and beneficiaries.
• Ability to work in a challenging, conflict‑affected environment.
