Nursing Team Supervisor

About the role

The Nursing Team Supervisor will lead the nursing staff at Ad Dahi Hospital, ensuring high‑quality patient care in line with MSF standards and protocols. This role combines clinical duties with team management, pharmacy oversight, and equipment coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize and evaluate nursing activities, ensuring compliance with MSF policies and universal health standards.
• Perform nursing or anesthetic duties when needed to optimise resources.
• Supervise the team’s adherence to hygiene procedures and clinical protocols.
• Manage shift schedules, annual leave, absences and evaluate staff performance.
• Identify training needs and ensure staff receive appropriate education.
• Oversee decentralized pharmacy and medical equipment management, including drug orders, stock monitoring, inventory, expiry control and destruction.
• Ensure all staff using medical devices are qualified and trained; report any malfunction to biomedical services.
• Coordinate administrative tasks, data collection and regular reporting to support decision‑making.
• Provide feedback to the medical focal point and participate in multidisciplinary ward rounds.

Required profile

• Qualified nurse or anesthetist with experience in a humanitarian or emergency setting.
• Proven ability to lead and supervise a multidisciplinary nursing team.
• Experience in pharmacy and medical equipment management.
• Strong organisational skills for shift planning and staff evaluation.
